Hey there! My name’s Ed Carter and I’m a freelance videographer based in Ipswich. Let’s make some content!

Currently based in Ipswich, Queensland, I will gladly take any excuse for an early holiday on the Gold Coast, where you’ll find the sun (and Hollywood). After finishing school where I excelled in media and arts, I focussed my passion on becoming a cinematographer. Landing a few small projects through word of mouth with family friends, and mutual contacts, I further developed my skills while completing my degree.

I am currently finishing my final year of my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen and New Media) at the Queensland University of Technology, and have collaborated on multiple short films, documentaries and music videos, reaching multiple genres and broadening my skillset through the process. My long-term career goal is to become a ringside cameraman for Boxing, MMA and Muay Thai, and capture its content in this area also. The lessons I’ve learnt from professionals in this area so far are that determination, passion for the fight game, and having a keen eye during high pressure moments are what makes the best videographers in the fight game, and I know I carry those qualities. I want to continue capturing narrative film content in my downtime as that has allowed me over the last 5 years to express myself through my direction, shooting and editing styles in small or large scale projects.
